Next time you consider throwing away an old T-shirt, think again (about the kids and the dogs in the house). Here's a much more appealing option:

      

Tie both sleeves together using a simple double knot (it is best to have an adult tightly fasten the knot).

Now tie the lower part of the T-shirt around itself, again using a double knot. The knots allow the dog, and yourselves, to grip the toy while playing.
